Newsletter “World Winter City News”

Member cities of WWCAM and their activities, as well as technology, events, and other interesting issues, are introduced in this publication. The newsletter, which is issued once or twice a year, is sent to winter city administrators and academic and research institutes throughout the world.

The newsletter is available in English and Japanese. Those who are interested in receiving the newsletter are asked to contact the Secretariat with their information (organization name, mailing address and e-mail address). The newsletter can also be viewed through this website.

Homepage of the WWCAM

Focusing on information relevant to winter cities, the homepage is regularly updated with details on WWCAM activities and the latest information on the Mayors Association. This enables the collection and transmission of current information on Member Cities as well as the knowledge accumulated at Mayors Conferences and by Subcommittees, so this information can be utilized for the creation of livable winter cities.

WWCAM PR Panel Exhibit 2014

A week long panel exhibit was organized to introduce WWCAM member cities and the activities of the association, the 16th Hwacheon Mayors Conference held in the Republic of Korea, and member cities’ environmental conservation efforts at the Sapporo Ekimae-dori Underground Walkway “Chikaho” located in the city center.

Under the slogan, “Winter is a Resource and an Asset,” the World Winter Cities Association for Mayors (WWCAM) is a network which gathers winter cities of the world to discuss winter technology, case experiences, and current initiatives while learning from one another. Including Sapporo, which serves as the association’s Secretariat, WWCAM is made up of 20 cities from 8 nations as of March 2014.

WWCAM Panel Exhibit 2013

A panel exhibit was organized from February 13 to February 17, 2013 to introduce WWCAM member cities and the activities of the association at the Sapporo Ekimae-dori Underground Walkway “Chikaho” located in the city center.
