2012 Working-Level Officials Meeting in Hwacheon
The World Winter Cities Associations for Mayors (WWCAM) held its Working-Level Officials Meeting in Hwacheon, Korea, from August 3 to 5, 2012. Representatives of the city of Hwacheon, which subsequently hosted the 16th biennial Mayors Conference in January 2014, introduced plans for the conference themes and schedule.
Among other topics for the 2014 Mayors Conference, Hwacheon proposed “conserving the natural environment” and “making good use of the environment while realizing sustainable city planning.”

The city of Matsumoto, which became a member in August 2012, gave a presentation on their city.
(2) Report on the 15th Mayors Conference in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, in January 2012
The city of Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, the host of 15th Mayors Conference in January 2012, gave a wrap-up report on the conference.
(3) Discussion on plans for the 16th Mayors Conference
Member cities discussed the plans for the 16th Mayors Conference in January 2014 proposed by the host city, Hwacheon of Korea.
(4) Discussion on the operation of the WWCAM
The Secretariat gave a progress report on member city initiatives that were agreed upon during the 15th Mayors Conference in Ulaanbaatar (e.g., action goals for environmental protection) and ideas were exchanged among member cities.
(5) Revitalization project report by the city of Hwacheon, Korea
Hwacheon gave a report on its WWCAM PR Project.
Environmental Protection Subcommittee
A meeting of the WWCAM Environmental Protection Subcommittee was held during the Working-Level Officials Meeting, and Changchun, China, the subcommittee secretariat, made a presentation.
